Well the pics below are just a small taste of what I've got. I eventually have to get a macro lens for my camera so that I can really get up even closer. The camera I'm using is a Canon Digital Rebel XT 8 mp with a 17 - 55mm lens. I do a variety of things playing with aperture and depth of field. I love how you can get close and reduce your depth of field to just millimeters

I can image using these images as a resource for painting.
The fleshy petal of the flower stimulates. Few other flowers have petals of such length and breadth. One can feel the flower breathe.
